Celerant Command Retail: Purchase Orders and Transfers

Celerant’s POS and back office retail software offers fully-integrated purchasing and allocation functions that allow retailers to quickly and easily place, track, and report on merchandise movement. With these features, access to information is instantly available to both your retail stores and main office.

Celerant Command Retail management system supports several different kinds of distribution methods. Whether your business directly ships merchandise from the vendor to the store, or has the merchandise sent to a distribution center before allocation to the stores, Celerant Command Retail allows for a tremendous amount of flexibility and accuracy in tracking inventory. If your business uses a centralized distribution center, you have the option of deciding how the merchandise will be allocated to the stores. You can also allow merchandisers to do the allocation at the time of creating the purchase order, or allow the automated system to do the allocation at the time of receiving.

Minimum/Maximum

Celerant’s complete POS and back office software contains various tools to assist merchandisers in creating and maintaining Purchase Orders. With established minimum and maximum values for the quantity of items on hand, you can easily check to see which items have fallen below their minimum and automatically place them on a reorder to bring the quantity up to the maximum. Replenishment can also be done with Celerant’s retail management system based on the quantity that was sold during a defined about of time.

The min/max ordering process can be made even easier by scheduling the calculation to occur on certain days and times of the week. If the retail system finds that an item is below its minimum requirements, it will be placed on a list for reorder.

Since most merchandisers are comfortable with working in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Celerant’s POS and back office retail software allows you to import a PO directly from an Excel file. This saves a tremendous amount of time by not requiring the user to re-enter the orders.

Tools Available in Purchase Orders/Transfers

In Celerant Command Retail™, there are several tools available to merchandisers to assess inventory movement and stock levels throughout all of your stores. With the help of various reports, a merchandiser may want to move inventory from one store to another.

Drag and Drop Transfer: Easily view and move inventory between any locations with a single mouse click.

In-Transit Setting: A variety of options will allow you to define how you want inventory to move. One such option is the In-Transit setting that enables you to track inventory that is moving between locations.

Celerant has simplified the ordering process and made the receiving process even easier. There are a variety of tools available to speed up the receiving process, such as the ability to receive all items that were ordered on a PO with only a single click.

Since your vendors may not send all items that were ordered in one shipment, there are many other ways of receiving, including receiving one line at a time, typing in quantities, or using a hand-held data collector. The data collector permits you to receive merchandise by scanning an attached ticket or UPC. From the same screen, the tickets price can be printed immediately for those items that were received.
